The lodge sits within Elmrise Park, a quiet, privately owned community close to the River Towy estuary and the impressive Llansteffan Castle. Sleeping up to eight guests, Woodside Lodge offers generous accommodation including a large open-plan living, dining and kitchen area, two bathrooms, and central heating for comfort throughout the year.
The setting is particularly popular with families, walkers, and those looking for a relaxed base from which to explore beaches, countryside, and coastal towns. Woodside Lodge is the largest property on the park and provides the space and flexibility for proper time away together. A home-from-home in a calm, scenic location.
From the entrance hallway, you enter the open-plan living, area with large picture windows to the front, overlooking the shrub border. It’s a lovely bright and airy room with an adjoining dining area and the kitchen.
The kitchen area itself has a good range of base units, microwave, gas hob, built-in electric oven and overhead extractor fan and comes fully equipped with toaster, kettle, crockery, utensils, pots and pans. From the opposite side of the entrance hallway is a useful utility area, housing an additional sink and drainer and fridge-freezer.
Each bedroom is of good size and fully carpeted. Two are furnished with double beds and two with twin single beds. Bedroom 1 has an ensuite toilet and wash basin. There are two additional toilets, a bath and separate shower in the rest of the building.
The county of Carmarthenshire is home to the National Botanical Garden of Wales and the elegant Aberglasney, and is known as the 'Garden of Wales'. Llanstephan has a stunning beach and beautiful coastal walks.
Nearby is Laugharne, the location of the Dylan Thomas Boathouse which is approximately 15 minutes by car. The 11 mile long Cefn Sidan (silken ridge) beach set in Pembrey Country Park is approximately a 30 minute drive away.
The holiday park is to the west of the county of Carmarthenshire just off the A40 and therefore has easy access to the county of Pembrokeshire, with Tenby and Saundersfoot approximately 45 minutes drive.
Hiring the chalet includes access to an indoor, life-guarded swimming pool during the summer months. There is also a children's play area.
Just 2 miles from Llansteffan's magnificent beach and castle, the peaceful and secluded Elmrise Park is surrounded by 15 acres of stunning Carmarthenshire woodland and its wildlife, yet is only 6 miles from the new shopping centre in Carmarthen.
